We are a group of programmers who intend to help a company digitalise their existing business and create an interactive and immersive online experience

My Role & Solution

I was tasked to do the Account Management feature of the website, while considering the Customer and Staff users.

My Work Process

We started off with deciding to digitalise our own fictitious company : PyTea, which is a bubble tea brand. We created PyTea as bubble tea enthusiasts ourselves, and are heavily centered around healthy living and sustainability . The name PyTea cleverly combines the word “Python” with “tea”, creating a playful yet tech-inspired name for our bubble tea shop. Additionally, it also sounds like “buy tea” when you pronounce it.

Then I crafted a business need of the feature i created:
Have an account that stores their address information for faster checkout

• Customers will be able to add and edit their address information within their accounts
• This information will be automatically populated during the checkout process, significantly reduces the time required to checkout, which enhances the customer convenience

I also crafted some user stories:

• As a customer, I want to have a reward system, so that I can get rewarded for drinking from PyTea.
• As a customer, I want to be able to change my password, so that I can still use my account even if I forgot my original password.
• As a staff, I want to be able to monitor the stock inventory, so that I know what products need to be restocked.
• As a staff, I want to be able to book my leave online, so that I can conveniently submit and track my leave application.

We then did a competitor analysis to show what made our website stand out from them. Our main competitors are Hollin and MilkSha. From their website, we found some areas lacking like their small font size, lack of a footer and ambiguous buttons and decided to improve in those areas.

Our Environmental Stance:

We use eco friendly and recyclable materials for our bubble tea cups Additionally, we created an exclusive "Special Pearls", which incorporates insects into the pearls to get extra protein and indirectly decreases our carbon emissions, water consumptions and more.
